Everyone had a different germination weight. Most of it technically made sense, but it still left beginners like me guessing. So the goal for my brand became clear to me very early into building my microgreens business.
That mission is surprisingly simple:
Create and share the simplest way to get the most out of your microgreens.
As a business, the SSB (Super Sprout Bros) Skool community is where I personally give tips and in-depth guidance for growing your own microgreens based on our opinionated method for growing. We strive for consistency, quality, and—most importantly—a simple, hard-to-mess-up methodology.
In short — I care deeply about health & I obsess over designing & building intuitive systems and products.
I built SSB (Super Sprout Bros) in public, from the very beginning. My Instagram series, “Trying to make $1,000/week with microgreens,” started because of a real goal of mine. I felt misaligned with the work I was doing, and I wanted to find a way to build toward the life I actually want to live. Part of that meant being able to support my lifestyle.
Watch the story from the beginning →We strive to provide our local community with fresh produce to maximize not only the freshness, but the longevity of its nutrition. The longer food is in transit, sitting in the grocery store, or in your fridge before you get around to eating it, the fewer nutrients it tends to have left. The shelves at the grocery stores are filled with ultra-processed convenience food — but that often comes with a trade-off. Excessive sugar. High sodium. AND a growing list of additives that's harder and harder to avoid. We'd rather keep local and fresh, and as close to whole as possible. Support your local farmers markets whenever you can!
